Naming your child is one of the most important decisions you can make at the start of their young life. A baby naming ceremony is an opportunity for you to introduce your child to friends and family and to celebrate a new life entering your world. Once, baptisms or christenings were a vital part of introducing a new child into a community. In today's enlightened society, many parents no longer feel that religious beliefs should be decided for a child at a young age. The religious overtones of such ceremonies can also make many who may wish to attend feel uncomfortable or unwelcome.
